Ighrem pays tribute to the ancient Amazigh collective granaries, built of stone on the heights to protect the harvests and the wealth of the village. This rug conveys that mineral strength: a base of natural wool, marked with dark geometric motifs, solid as ancestral walls.

In Amazigh art, these symbols embody protection and memory. Each line is a wall preserving history, each diamond a stone laid for the future.

At the top of the Aït Bouguemez Valley, stands a Granary over a sacred hill: Sidi Moussa
It watches over the villages like an unmoving stone guarding the Valley's life.

What makes it unique

Rug Features

Rug Description

In Amazigh culture, the IGHREM is the communal granary, a stone fortress where each family preserved its harvest and its legacy. This rug, handwoven in natural ivory wool with earthy motifs, echoes those ancestral walls that stood as symbols of protection and solidarity. Every diamond and line recalls the balance between survival and abundance, patience and strength. Woven slowly by the women of the Atlas, this piece carries the spirit of guardianship and continuity into modern homes — a fragment of heritage transformed into timeless design
