Shipping Policy – LAYERS of Morocco

1. Processing & Production Times

All orders are processed within 48 hours after checkout and payment confirmation.

• In-stock rugs are prepared for shipment immediately.

• Made-to-order rugs require:

  • 4 to 5 weeks of weaving

  • followed by 7 to 15 business days of international shipping, depending on the destination.

2. Domestic Shipping (Morocco)

• Carrier: Poste Maroc, Amana, or equivalent

• Estimated delivery time: 3–7 business days

• Free shipping applies to all deliveries within Morocco

3. International Shipping

International orders are shipped via Aramex, DHL or FedEx, depending on destination and logistics constraints.

• Estimated delivery time: 7–15 business days, depending on the destination zone.

4. How Shipping Rates Are Calculated (Important)

Shipping rates at LAYERS of Morocco are calculated by total rug weight, not by order type (purchase or pre-order).

• Each rug has a fixed shipping weight (including packaging).

• At checkout, Shopify automatically calculates the total cart weight.

• The shipping cost applied corresponds to the appropriate weight bracket for your destination zone.

This method ensures:

• accurate and transparent pricing,

• alignment with real carrier costs,

• no hidden or estimated shipping fees.

Important – Multiple Rugs Orders

If you wish to purchase multiple rugs, please ensure that the total cart weight does not exceed 30 kg.

For logistical reasons, orders above this limit must be split into separate shipments.

If needed, please place a second order so that each shipment remains within the 30 kg weight limit.

5. Shipping Rates by Zone & Weight

Shipping fees depend on:

• the destination zone, and

• the total shipment weight of all rugs in your cart.

Shipping costs are automatically calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination and total cart weight.

6. Customs & Import Duties

For international orders, customs duties and import taxes are handled according to the destination country’s regulations.

When applicable, all required import charges are included in the final price shown at checkout, so there are no additional fees to pay upon delivery.

7. Tracking

Once your rug is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number to follow your delivery in real time.

8. Follow-Up for Made-to-Order Rugs

As most rugs are made-to-order, you will receive:

• regular updates on the weaving process,

• shipping confirmation once dispatched,

• and delivery follow-up until arrival.

9. Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us immediately at
hello@layersofmorocco.com, including clear photos of the damage.
Each case is handled individually and with care.
