AMUD means seeds, the grains entrusted to the mountain soil — fragile in appearance, yet carrying the future. The rug expresses this promise with a natural wool ivory background, crossed by a network of regular black diamonds. Within them, small colored dots appear like seeds scattered across fertile earth.

In Amazigh art, the diamond embodies fertility and lineage, while the dot becomes a seed, a spark of life. Their patient repetition mirrors the unchanging cycle of agriculture: sow, wait, harvest, begin again.

Part of the Paths of the Mountains, AMUD conveys Amazigh wisdom: each season holds the memory of the past and the promise of the next. A rug that brings into the home the spirit of patience, transmission, and hope.

What makes it unique

Rug Features

Rug Description

AMUD means seeds, symbols of origin, fertility, and renewal. In the Atlas mountains, every seed that takes root is a promise of life in a demanding landscape. This rug features a natural ivory wool base crossed by a fine lattice of elongated black diamonds, within which scattered dots in terracotta, ochre, and earthy brown appear like seeds carried by the wind. The design reflects both the discipline of the mountains and the resilience of nature that thrives there. Its medium pile offers softness and durability, making it ideal for bedrooms, studios, or quiet spaces. Each rug is handwoven and one-of-a-kind, crafted under fair-trade conditions, embodying slow design and the enduring cycles of growth in Moroccan mountain life
