TAMMURT means fields, but not the regular ones of the plains: these are the irregular plots of the Aït Bouguemaz valley, shaped by steep slopes and mountain relief. The rug conveys this fragmented geometry with a deep terracotta background, animated by ochre and black forms placed like fields across cultivated soil.

In Amazigh art, the diamond symbolizes fertility and lineage. Black, in turn, embodies protection and fertility, associated with moist earth and stability. Here, these ancestral codes are reinterpreted: enlarged, deconstructed, and set in an asymmetrical composition that recalls how agriculture adapts to mountain terrain.

Part of the Paths of Aït Bouguemaz, Tammurt expresses Amazigh agricultural intelligence — mastering the mountain by embracing it — and translates it into contemporary design: asymmetry, contrasts, graphic strength. A rug that ties nourishing earth to modern aesthetics.
